Community Service
Dr. Todd Geiler is a product of his surroundings
and the rural setting of Yavapai County. Raised in a household where
the family
dealt in healthcare by day and ranching by night, one could not
be help but involved in 4-H as a child and adolescent. Following
his father’s footsteps, he gained an interest in the shooting
sports. Rifle shooting evolved into pistol shooting and through
a series of matches and competitions; he earned local, state,
national and international exposure. Returning to Prescott after
graduate
school, Dr. Todd immediately began teaching firearm safety for
the Arizona Game and Fish Hunter Safety Program and the National
Rifle
Association’s Firearm Safety Program. It was a 34 year local
program the Geiler’s taught, touching over 16,000 lives making
the home and community a safer place through education. When
this program came to an end, Dr. Todd was the first local president
of
the Friends of the NRA Foundation. This project’s mission
was to raise funds for local safety and shooting range development.
They also began the Eddie the Eagle Program here in Yavapai County
teaching safety and providing instruction to our children.
Dr.
Todd Geiler is the current President of Kiwanis in Prescott.
The Kiwanis mission is making the world a better place for our
children of our world. Over his last two years, Dr. Todd has guided
the
local
clubs annual fund raising during their yearly auctions maintaining
their commitment to the kids of our community. These funds have
been dispersed in the local and Quad-city areas on projects benefitting
our community ’s children.
Dr. Todd is a 40 year member of the
Prescott Sportsmen’s Club,
a member of the Granite Mountain Archers, Arizona Cattle Growers
and a benefactor member of the National rifle Association.
